Snowboarding

We went to Steamboat Springs this past weekend. Kevin did a bit of snowboarding. Here he is on the thunderhead lift.

Still on the Thunderhead Lift, it does not look like we are that far off the ground but we really are.

This is along "Why Not" which is the worlds longest cat trail. We had hit a flat part and were taking a bit of a break.

In the gondola at the beginning of the day. We had not even gotten out yet and he was already ditching his coat.

Zoolights

Amy's friend Racheal came in from Peoria after Christmas for a visit. We went to the Denver Zoo to see Zoolights. Here they are mimicing the giraffe's. Would you have known if I did not tell you. Racheal is actually the wreath. I know it is real apparent.

Amy and Racheal. And with Kevin. And yes it was cold out and no Kevin did not freeze. I froze for him.

Jenny and Cheyenne.

Racheal loves elephants.

Again Jenny, Racheal and Amy mimicing the elephants this time. I know, good thing I told you.

Real elephants and up close they smell a lot more also.

Kevin, his shoes match the elephant.

Amy, Racheal, Cheyenne and Jenny.

Serious Knitting

This is some serious knitting and crocheting.

Kevin's First snowboard lesson

This was taken up at Eldora ski resort, it is up in Nederland which is where you end up if you leave Boulder and go west. We took Kevin up there to get use to his snowboard. He really starts lessons on Jan 3rd, real lessons.

Steamboat for Christmas

Jessica and her boyfriend Bobby came up to Steamboat but I didn't get a picture of them together just her and Jenny. Cliff was there also. This is on the back balcony, Kevin thought he needed to be in every picture, he is so cool.
One day Jenny and I got up and went skiing/boarding together. The morning was VERY cold. But the snow was VERY good.

We met Brian and Kevin for lunch. Kevin was getting a bit worn out by then.

Lunch of gourmet pb&j for Kevin.

There is some big person in this video and then it is all Kevin.

Kevin was a happy skiier for a moment.

Santa brought Kevin what he wanted, an IPOD.

Kevin gave his Dad a picture of what his Dad wanted.

Amy was surprised with this little netbook computer. She didn't even know they exsisted.

Lots of knitting went on besides lots of playing of games. Pretty much what everyone did, play games, knit and ski. And eat and sleep.

Yeah, Jenny can goof off she won "Ticket to Ride" three times in a row.

Gingerbread House

Kevin made a gingerbread house. Once we made this we then saw lots of them everytime we turned around. We entered it into a contest at the Boulder Historic Museum and the day we were suppose to go look at all the houses, it snowed a bunch and was actually quite cold and we never made it out.

Josh's wedding

We drove back home for Josh's wedding at the beginning of October. Well Brian, Kevin and I drove, the big kids flew. But Kevin got out of a week of school.

Josh and Mallory, I didn't get a picture of the bride and groom, Josh sat a lot and Megan danced a lot.

The wedding was at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Peoria. It was a very nice day.

Had to get some pictures of the kids dressed up, well the big kids, this is as good as it gets with Kevin.

One good thing about the wedding was we got to see some old friends and relatives. This is Whitney Sturm a very good family friend.

Janice has a little girl, Sidney, who lives with them and this is Sidney's older sister Ashley and Amy below holding Sidney.

Kevin and his God-Parents, Debra and Tom Sturm.

For as much as Kevin is afraid to do anything since he doesn't want to be anything but "cool" he did want to dance with Jenny.
