Brian's Conference Meet

The Colorado School of Mines had their conference meet the last three days. Brian swam pretty good most of the days. They have prelims in the morning and then finals at night. We went down for most of it. I missed one morning prelim. Kevin was a trooper and very tired of meets by the end.

Cliff and Brian before the meet in the morning. This is where they sat the entire weekend. We sat in the bleachers across from them and they were always sitting here.

Friday morning Brian swam the 100 fly and he did good but was concerned about the fact that his legs kept dying on him. Here he is after that swim with ice bags on his shoulders.

That night we went back for finals. He was seeded in 2nd place and here is a movie of him before the race and then of his race. He has the M on his cap. He is in lane 5 it says it on the block.

Super Bowl and Beyond

Kevin gets a bit obsessive about his clothes. He wears shorts all the time and often this hoody. He likes to sit and play video games in his game chair.

The big kids came home to watch the Super Bowl. Well actually Brian and Charlie came home and Jenny was passing through on her way home from skiing and Amy asked her girlfriends over. And Kevin and I were in bed before it ever came close to getting over.

For my birthday I got some beautiful flowers from my children with a great Bible verse, Kevin also picked out a pretty keychain for me and Brian got me this cool bobbin winder for weaving. It is very nice, trust me. My parents also sent me some sock, yeah socks, and a great card. It is wonderful to be so loved.

Kevin had wacky hair day at school last Friday. he told us this as we were driving to Cherry Creek to see Amy play basketball, this is about 45 minutes away from home. We took our friend Cindy Hamilton who was here for a seminar from Washington. We got home about 9:30 or so and quickly cut some stripes in his hair as there was no way e could color it like he wanted. This was supose to be the next best thing. Well as the weekend wore on there was less and less hair on Kevin's head until we got to this. We also bought him this shirt that he desperately wanted. And since it was yellow and we know how much Grandma thinks he looks good in yellow we bought it. So if you want to pitch in for this shirt Grandma feel free!
